the penny loafers were founded in 1986 as a co-ed a cappella group from the university of pennsylvania focusing on current pop and rock music.

we have performed at many events around campus, including president rodin's farewell, freshmen convocation, alumni association and admissions events, parents' weekend, and shows sponsored by penn advocacy groups and local charities.

we also perform locally at a cappella festivals, downtown philadelphia's first fridays, and holiday parties, as well as take trips to sing at other colleges.

as we celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2006, we were still far better than any other shoe.
